You may be in a storm now, calming waters are coming soon.
Hi, and welcome to therapy. People come to therapy to improve their lives from many different and difficult experiences. Trauma can affect people in many different ways. Using different methods and teaching tools can help improve someone's life. Trauma can be from bullying, car accidents, spousal abuse, child abuse, and other life experiences. Therapy and training give you back the inner peace you need. My approach is humbly understanding what you are going through.
How can I help you? I begin by listening, understanding your situation and treating you with kindness, openness, and honesty, to help you feel emotionally safe in therapy. This is a good way to begin a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the individual which leads to healing. There are many tools I can use to help you; such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and many more.
I am empathetic to an individual's experience, looking to the individual as a teacher of their life experiences to help me understand what different therapies can be used. I work with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Coping with change or making a change in life can sometimes be overwhelming. It's nice to know therapists can help. Call or email for an appointment soon.
